Have you ever had a problem with rust in your cast iron potjie? Are you tired of washing off the sticky oil (or similar rustpreventer) before you can start cooking? Here’s my solution: after you have washed and dried the pot, pour in a cup or two of uncooked rice – the amount depends on its size. The rice absorbs any moisture, leaving the inside of your pot dry and rust-free. Happy cooking, guys!
