In 2012 the world record for paper aircraft distance was set at 69.14 meters by Joe Ayoob and aircraft designer John M. Collins. The record was set at the McClellan Air Force Base in California where the paper plane more than crossed the distance of a hangar.

This year Collins visited Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, where he showed students how to fold the record setting paper plane.
