A visual artist from Rio de Janeiro recreates portraits of historical and popular icons using scrap electronics. Christian Pierini, a lecturer at the Workshop of Visual Arts in Rio, has created a workshop around his recycled creations where local students can create their own installations.
In the image above Christian recreated a famous portrait photograph of Albert Einstein using electronics. He has also used scrap musical equipment when creating portraits of famous musicians.
Most recently Christian created a portrait of the American musician and actor Harry Connick Jr for the singer’s new album entitled That Would Be Me.
