One of the most stressful parts of leaving home is wondering if your laptop and smartphone will die when you need them most. You need power that moves with you to keep all your electronic devices charged. London-based company, ARROE, think they’ve got the solution – LAER (pronounced layer).
The next “LAER” in wireless charging is a Bluetooth-enabled laptop sleeve that can charge your laptop, tablet, and smartphone simultaneously while on the go.
It’s a great all-in-one alternative that replaces all your chargers, adapters, cables and portable batteries. It simplifies the need for multiple portable chargers for those of us with a lot of devices.
The sleeve can charge up to three devices at a time. When charging your devices at night, you can use LAER to power up from one socket. It’s equipped with DC charging for PC and MAC, USB-C charging, USB Quick Charge, QI wireless charging for compatible Android and iPhone smartphones.
I’m particularly excited about the removable battery cartridge concept. The system allows you to alternate between 5 000 and 20 000 mAh battery capacity – you get to choose the amount of power and weight you carry with you.
The sleek and compact design is unobtrusive to your day-to-day schedule. Those around you won’t even know when your busy charging your devices. Currently only available in a matt black colour made from a durable composite material.
The outer material is nylon and packs enough padding made up from a dense foam to protect your electronic devices from impact. The closure system is magnetic and allows you to access your laptop with ease. Don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself in the video below.
Let’s not overlook LAER’s trademark circle on the front of the sleeve – this is were the wireless charging pad is located for your convenience.
Additionally, it’s great for travelling as it has adapters for all countries and tracking with TrackR.
The campaign is currently raising money on Indiegogo. Pledges start from R1 295,20.
