Laptops and tablets are great. However, both have strengths and weaknesses, depending on individual needs and preferences. Lenovo’s new IdeaPad Yoga 13 provides a good way to bridge this mobile computing divide: it incorporates a dual-hinge design that allows for 360-degree rotation. As a result, it can function in four different modes (laptop, tablet, stand and tent), providing useful flexibility between work and play.
For instance, “stand” mode is great for looking at pictures or watching movies, while “tent” is ideal for playing games, video chatting, and more. The IdeaPad Yoga 13 also features a 34 cm HD+ (1 600 x 900) IPS 10-point multi-touch display with wide viewing angle. It weighs 1,54 kg and is just 16,9 mm thick. The battery is said to be good for eight hours. Price: about R14 000. Contact Lenovo on 011-514 7500 or visit www.lenovo.com/za
