No single PC can be configured to suit all needs, right? Actually, that’s not entirely true. Thanks to its slide-and-tilt design, Toshiba’s new ultrabook, the Satellite U920t, switches from conventional laptop to tablet in a jiffy. Designed to take full advantage of the Windows 8 enhanced user interface, it features gesture support, a full-sized LED-backlit keyboard (optional) and a 31,7 cm fingerprint-resistant Gorilla Glass IPS touchscreen display.
A solid-state drive (SSD) and third-generation Intel Core processor facilitate quick start-ups. Two USB 3.0 ports, a full-size HDMI port and a near-field communication (NFC) option give you plenty of opportunity to sync and share. The built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the screen to suit the conditions. This ultrabook weighs just 1,52 kg and is fashionably thin at a hair under 20 mm. Other cool features include a durable magnesium chassis, accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope and GPS. Price: about R11 000. Contact Mustek on 011-237 1000 or visit www.mustek.co.za
