A new 1,6-litre twin-scroll turbocharged engine with direct fuel injection delivering 150 kW and 265 N.m of torque is the big news.
These two decidedly different sporty members of the Hyundai/Kia family should liven up things in the compact performance coupe sector. Up to now, the Veloster has been available with only a normally aspirated 1,6. The turbo version is scheduled to be launched towards the middle of 2014.
Looks-wise, the striking all-new Cerato Koup has less of the edginess of the outgoing model, but the turbo – Kia’s first – ensures that it doesn’t lack edge when it comes to performance.
