Special Vehicle Operations, or SVO, the division of Jaguar that offers bespoke, high-performance variants and limited edition models of the parent company’s offerings has confirmed that the full range will be available in South Africa during the second half of 2016.

“At Special Vehicle Operations we harness the very best talent and expertise Jaguar Land Rover has, to deliver exceptional products and services our customers will love for life. That includes customers across the globe, and I’m proud to say that every SVO production model will be on offer in South Africa this year,” says John Edwards, Managing Director of Special Operations.

Currently, the Range Rover Sport SVR, and Range Rover SV Autobiography are available locally, adding respective performance and luxurious enhancements to the Land Rover portfolio.

Joining them are the Jaguar F-Type Project 7, which is limited to just five examples for this market, as well as the F-Type SVR in August. Thanks to the SVR’s supercharged 5,0-litre V8 that produces 423 kW and 700 N.m it’s the fastest of its kind with a 320 km/h top speed.

“Every Jaguar and Land Rover is already a fantastic product, but at Special Vehicle Operations we take them back to the drawing board to determine how we can make them even better. Our expertise is not just in extracting more performance, but also to look at the needs of our most selective customers and tailor vehicles to their tastes or requirements,” adds Edwards.
