The lines between Sport and Utility are increasingly being blurred. That’s become quite clear as a result of this dramatic video of the Range Rover Sport SVR. Jaguar Land Rover’s Mike Cross, Chief Engineer Vehicle Integrity, took to the UK’s Rockingham race circuit to show just how it feels to take the most powerful Land Rover ever produced to the limit.
Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations team developed the SVR, which reaches 100 km/h from standstill in just 4,5 seconds. It has a 5-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine whose peak outputs are 405 kW and 680 N.m.
The Range Rover Sport SVR’s composure is evident, says Jaguar Land Rover, even with the vehicle’s comprehensive range of electronic traction and stability aids turned off.
