Having had plenty of experience with lost shopping lists, I’ve found this strategy works very well. Put up a small whiteboard in a convenient spot at home, en route to your car (in my case, attached to the door leading to the garage), and use it to make notes of whatever you need. When it’s time to go shopping, you simply use your cellphone to take a picture of the list, and off you go. If an item isn’t clear on a densely populated whiteboard, you can simply zoom in to read it. Saving a tree or two in the process doesn’t hurt, either.
