If you’re an eligible lady out there, the chance to take your romantic life to new heights is finally here as Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa is searching for a girlfriend interested in joining him on a mission to orbit the moon.
Maezawa’s quest will form part of a new documentary programme that the wealthy Japanese man has decided will be his latest claim to fame, that will be streamed on AbemaTV.
He is specifically seeking woman over the age of 20 to join him as a co-star on the show as well as his companion throughout the trip.
This comes after Maezawa recently sold his online fashion retailer Zozo Inc to SoftBank Group Corp and split with his previous actress girlfriend Ayame Goriki.
“As feelings of loneliness and emptiness slowly begin to surge upon me, there’s one thing that I think about: continuing to love one woman,” wrote Maezawa, “I want to find a ‘life partner’. With that future partner of mine, I want to shout our love and world peace from outer space,” added Maezawa.

The documentary itself, however, will be titled “Full Moon Lovers”. Applicants looking to fill the hole in Maezawa heart must be interested in going to space, able to participate in necessary preparations for the mission as well as be some who “wishes for world peace”.
Applications close on January 17 and Maezawa is expected to choose his new love by the end of March, those looking for lunar love can apply here.
