• Taal volcano covers villages in ash

Date:15 January 2020 Author: Leila Stein Tags:, ,

The Taal volcano, located on Luzon island in the Philippines erupted, blanketing the villages below it in ash and making the area uninhabitable.

The volcano threw up ash 14 kilometres into the air, with officials evacuating the surrounding area that lies just outside the capital Manila. This volcano is considered the world’s most dangerous because of the number of people living close to it. While lava flows are what comes to mind when thinking of an eruption, it is the tiny shards of glass in this ash that has those in the area worried.

Some have put the incredible pictures of their homes online to show the world what the experience looks like.
