Google’s Street View has stepped off the road, and onto the track less travelled. The company yesterday announced “The Mzansi Experience” that allows visitors to virtually walk through some of our national parks and nature reserves, museums and even some landmarks.
Using a spherical camera – similar to the car-mounted camera that captured streets around the world – mounted on top of a backpak, the crew travelled by foot, capturing the essence of the landmarks.
So if you’re in the mood for some lunch time exploring, head over to The Mzansi Experience Street View on Google Maps by clicking here. And experience Jonkershoek Nature Reserve, Durban’s Golden Mile and many more from your computer.
