The MTN Asphalt Cup tournament will run from 17 August to 2 September 2018 with four weekend tournaments that will see racers competing for their share of R87 500 in weekly prizes. The weekly players will be entered onto the MTN Asphalt Cup leaderboard where the Top 8 racers (nationally) will participate in the finale at Comic Con Africa. The ultimate winner at Comic Con Africa final will win the R250 000 grand prize.

Comic Con Africa has seen comic fans, cosplayers, gamers, e-sports fans and movie fanatics counting down the days in excitement since the event’s announcement in February this year. The three-day event features comic books, science fiction/fantasy related films, TV and pop culture, and you can expect animations, toys, video games, cosplay, gadgets, table-top games, anime and more. There will also be a few famous faces for the fans which include Ricky Whittle (The 100), Yetide Badaki (American Gods), Rick Worthy (The Magicians), Kevin Sussman (The Big Bang Theory), and cosplayers Yaya Han and Philip Odango.
