Yesterday, Netflix set the internet abuzz when it dropped the trailer for a Black Mirror special called Bandersnatch.
Not part of the upcoming new season of the popular show, Bandersnatch was rumoured to be the interactive film that Netflix had been rumoured to be working on earlier this year.
Released on the streaming service this morning, Bandersnatch is indeed an interactive film which lets you change the outcome of the show based on the decisions you make throughout. Not only does this create a unique experience for each viewer, it also forces you to watch the show without distractions.
Bandersnatch is set in 1984 and follows a young programmer who begins to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantasy novel into a video game. He soon begins to question reality and faces a mind-mangling challenge.
According to Wired, there are five main endings to the show and depending on the decisions you take, you could spend anywhere from 60 to 120 minutes watching -and interacting – with the show.
