In this image, the epithelial-specific nuclear marker K14-H2B-GFP is expressed in a mouse embryo (16 dpc), which illustrates the pattern of whisker follicles on its face. It has been magnified 4 times. Evan Heller in Fuchs Lab at the University of Rockefeller, New York, New York, USA, captured this image using the Fluorescence technique. Heller was awarded an Image of Distinction in the Nikon Small World 2012 competition.
