911 Response24 releases free emergency app in SA

As a result of the surge in calls to the emergency services in response to COVID-19 outbreak, 911 Response24 has released a free version of its app to all South Africans.

To assist with the bottleneck being experienced by South African emergency service lines and combat the spread of false information about the virus, the app now includes a medical support button.

This button links users directly with the National Operations Centre agents who will assess your requirements and direct you to the nearest testing facility or hospital, provide vital information on the virus or if you require urgent medical assistance, will put you directly through to ER24.

“We desperately want to help our country through this crisis. Every life matters and we hope to make a lifesaving difference to every person in SA,” says Marlize Holtzhausen, founder and CEO of 911 Response24.

The app is freely available to download via the Apple and Google Play stores and gives users free access to the new Medical Support SA functionality.

For full functionality and access to armed response and emergency medical services, users should subscribe to the Premium Service.
