Those who love an iPhone but can’t fork out for the newest version will be pleased to know that Apple are rumoured to be releasing a cheaper version of their cellular device in March.
According to Bloomberg, Apple insiders said that production on the phone may begin in February, for distribution in March. The whispers about this possible cheaper phone were already about in 2019, but it was not expected to be released this early in the new year.
This, the first lower-cost iPhone since the iPhone SE, will look similar to the 2017 iPhone 8 with a 4.7-inch screen. It will have Touch ID on the home button and the same processor as the iPhone 11.
While they haven’t confirmed anything about the phone or released a price point, a cheaper iPhone will be welcomed on the market. The newer releases from Apple have proven to be among the most expensive of their phones.
Apple has confirmed their plans for high-end iPhones to be released later in 2020 that include 5G connectivity, faster processors, and new 3-D cameras on the back.
