Missing the action because your camera is too slow?

Casio’s EXILIM Ex-F1 6-megapixel digital camera, incorporating a high-speed CMOS sensor and high-speed LSI processor, achieves an almost unbelievable burst rate of 60 frames per second (fps) for still images and 1 200 fps for movie recording. It locates and focuses on faces no matter where they are in the frame, and optimises brightness so faces are always clear, even when backlit.

Using the “best shot” function, you select a sample scene similar to the image you’re about to shoot and the camera sets up automatically. A YouTube capture mode records movies at the size and quality settings optimised for the Web site. The camera’s 12x optical zoom, combined with CMOS shift stabilisation, delivers crisp images even at high zoom factors. The lens accepts commercially available 62 mm-diameter fi lters, and the camera is equipped with a hot shoe for connecting an external flash.
