Nikon’s D7100: ignite your passion

Date:4 April 2013 Tags:, ,

Serious happy-snappers looking for a quality camera capable of withstanding the rigours of outdoor use need look no further. Nikon’s new DX format camera, the 24,1-megapixel D7100, packs pro-quality punch into a durable, weather-resistant body. The powerful CMOS sensor makes the most of its megapixels to deliver the goods. Images are extremely sharp, allowing even the finest details (such as hair or feathers) to be captured in ultra-high definition.

Its AF system offers professional-level performance by employing the same algorithm as the D4. Featuring 51 focus points and 15 cross-type sensors in the central area, the camera delivers precise subject acquisition and formidably sharp images. AF operation is also possible under a combined aperture value of f/8, allowing for more combinations of lenses and teleconverters – something completely new for cameras of this class.

Weighing in at just 675 grams, the camera body features magnesium top and back covers along with securely sealed ports, giving it plenty of dust-, drop- and moisture-resistance.

Price: about R20 000 (body only). Contact Nikon on 0861 164 566 or visit
