Oppo, China’s second-biggest smartphone manufacturer, are launching their mid-range smartphones in South Africa.
The company announced that it will be releasing three mid-range phones this year with their flagships to follow in 2021.
The A15, A53 and A72 will be available through local partners from October 7.
Oppo hasn’t released the price for all the phones, only saying that thee A72 will cost R6,999.
These mid-range phones will help widen South Africa’s options when it comes to buying cheaper phones which offer higher quality.

Specs for the A15 have not been released in their entirety by Oppo but will feature a 6.5-inch display, triple rear camera and 4,320mAh battery.
The A53 has a 6.5-inch 90Hz display, 5,000mAh battery capacity, triple-lens rear camera system and a single 16MP front-facing camera. It has 128GB of internal storage and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460.
The A72 is Oppo’s mid-range with flagship features and so the specs are as impressive as expected. It has a 48MP AI quad camera, massive 5,000mAh battery, almost bezel-less design, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset.
