2019 is the 10 year anniversary of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphone range and in the lead up to the S10 Galaxy Unpacked event, the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer has unveiled billboards installed in Paris’s famous Place de la Concorde.
Written in Hangeul, the billboards – when translated – say “The future unfolds” and “February twentieth.”
This is a clear confirmation that the company will be showcasing the Galaxy F alongside the Galaxy S10 range.
The S10 needs to be a success for the company that once lead smartphone innovation but in recent years has been bested by Google (who has the best smartphone camera) and Huawei (who has the best smartphone camera in SA and the best battery in a smartphone and were the first to bring under-glass fingerprint scanners to the mass market).
Rumours indicate that Samsung might be unveiling an ultra-premium handset called the Galaxy S10 X.
If the device is real, then it could be Samsung’s first flagship with 5G, an under-glass fingerprint scanner, a 5000 mAh battery, 1TB storage and 10GB RAM.
As always, this is still just a rumour, but if it’s true, then we’ll be seeing four Galaxy S10 smartphones – as well as the Galaxy F – being unveiled on 20 February.
