If you want to improve your night vision, you have a choice: either eat truckloads of carrots or invest in Bushnell’s 5 x 42 mm StealthView Digital Night Vision monocular. It (almost) literally turns night into day with a powerful infrared spotlight that produces images with a much higher resolution than Generation 1 optics. The monocular is effective in complete darkness and at long distances, producing an image that’s sharp from edge to edge. Powered by six AA batteries, it has a continuous run time of two hours in infrared mode and eight hours without. It’s weather resistant, has a viewing range of 180 m, and features adjustable eyepieces as well as a video output port that allows you to connect it to an external monitor or video recorder.
