Trying to find a moment’s peace in a world filled to the brim with technology is easier said than done. The people at &Beyond have addressed this issue with innovative design, by creating a solar-powered treehouse right in the middle of the African bush.
Known as the Ngala Treehouse, it is surrounded by nothing more than 36,000 acres of private game reserve and ensures it’s visitors are completely off the grid. No wifi, no Eskom.
Opened on 10 February 2020, the four-story treehouse sits among the treetops at an eye-watering 12 meters at its highest point, with each level providing guests with uninterrupted views of South Africa’s breathtaking landscapes.

The treehouse was designed to create a connection with nature while providing all the luxury amenities guests want. The wooden structure features all-glass walls so the views from this high vantage point are uninterrupted and those staying in this innovative structure feel part of the surrounding environment.
