Subaru Forester turns 4

Date:1 November 2012 Author: Anthony Doman

An all-new Subaru Forester SUV made its world premiere on November 13 in Japan. First introduced in 1997 and based on the Impreza compact sedan, the Forester has become more of a pukka SUV than the 4×4 wagon it started out as. The fourth-generation Forester looks a lot like the outgoing SH model from the A pillar rearwards. The nose and wheels are strongly reminiscent of the recently launched XV compact sport-utility.

As before, it will feature the marque’s trademark Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

Subaru says the new car will have better performance, handling and braking. Safety and  environmental performance are also said to be better.
