• The future of the superyacht is here

Date:31 December 2019 Author: Imogen Searra

A Dutch yacht-design company, Sinot Yacht & Architecture Design, has revealed a detailed model of the world’s first hydrogen-powered superyacht. While the yacht does not yet exist, it exhibits the future of the yachting industry.

Revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show, the detailed replica is a symbol of innovation. According to Business Insider, the model is 2-meters in size and is suitably named Aqua.

The superyacht would be the first to run on liquid hydrogen and fuel-cell technology. According to Sinot, the only emission of the vessel would be water. Aqua would also be fully dependent on two 25 ton vacuum-sealed tanks of liquid hydrogen. These would be kept at -252 degrees Celcius.

Aqua will also feature state-of-the-art tech and decor, a no-brainer for this innovative and environmentally conscious superyacht.
