If you’re socially distancing or isolating at home, then the new iPad Pro’s LiDAR screen is all you need to keep you entertained.
Throwing it back to your childhood, the LiDAR scanner can turn your floor into molten lava. By installing the augmented reality game, Hot Lava, you’ll have all the fun making your character jump on platforms to escape the AR lava on the floor.
According to Apple, “The LiDAR Scanner on the new iPad Pro will enable Hot Lava’s new AR mode, available later this year.”
The game perfectly showcases the capabilities of the LiDAR scanner.
How it works:
A player will scan the room with the iPad and the app will then generate molten lave on the floor, as well as platforms for the game’s character to jump from in AR.
Apple’s new iPad Pro was announced on Wednesday 18 March. According to The Verge, it will retail for $799 (around R13,000) or $949 (around R16,000).
