While many people have theories that robots are being built to wipe out humanity, the only thing this robot is interested in wiping is the smile off a man’s face after rejecting his flirtatious gestures.
The robot is named Ameca, and is described as “the world’s most advanced human shaped robot representing the forefront of human-robotics technology”.
Designed specifically as a platform for development into future robotics technologies, Ameca is the perfect humanoid robot platform for human-robot interaction, according to Engineered Arts. It was also featured at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2022, which took place in Las Vegas.
In a video on TikTok, the man asks Ameca whether it “has a boyfriend” and the robot then responds by saying “no” and adds “Are you asking for a friend?”
The man then says that he was asking for himself and Ameca throws a jab that stings by saying “Unfortunately I am not on the market. Robots do not have relations”.
