Loren Grush is a US journalist working at The Verge. She had the opportunity to try on innovative Mars and Moon space suits at the University of North Dakota campus, learning just how complex, heavy and restrictive a space suit can be.
Even simple tasks, like picking an object up from the ground, were difficult and exhausting. Of the two suits that Loren tried on, the Mars suit was the heaviest and most uncomfortable. The Moon suit was a training suit, which was lighter than the real deal.
Perhaps those folks who would like to colonise Mars would have second thoughts after watching this?
