Crows are a lot smarter than you’d think. They are able to understand physical processes in a way that would be beyond most animals. Example: water displacement. You know Aesop’s Fable about the crow that raises the level of water in a container by dropping in pebbles? Well, that’s no fable. The crow really is able to think through processes, it seems, displaying superior intelligence and unique insight into physical processes and cause and effect relationships, which most animals do not understand.
