Toyota’s Intelligent Parking Assist is available on the new Prius (depending on specification). Based on input from a rear-mounted camera and side-mounted sensors on the front bumper, the system decides if a parking space is viable. The car is then steered into a target parking position. It’s all done hands-free, with the driver needing to control only the speed – but, as our video taken at the Prius’s local launch demonstrates, manoeuvring requires a little care.
