How raw materials are turned into Hasselblad’s Lunar camera

Top-end camera manufacturer Hasselblad has announced details of its revolutionary Lunar, a mirrorless, interchangeable-lens design that can be customised with a number of different materials, including carbon fibre, titanium, wood, leather and precious metals – including gold.

Due for launch early next year, the Italian-designed camera is described as a state-of-the-art, “ultimate luxury” product. It was developed using handmade wooden prototypes to ensure superior ergonomics and functionality, and will accommodate both compact E-mount and the larger A-mount lenses used by professionals.
