BMW SA receives first green energy

Date:16 October 2015 Tags:, , , ,

BMW’s Rosslyn plant in Pretoria is now partially powered by green energy. This is the result of BMW South Africa having signed a power purchasing agreement with Bio2Watt, a local company specialising in industrial-scale biogas.

BMW received the first green energy shipment on 10 October. Between 25 % and 30 % of the company’s electricity requirement will be generated from renewable sources.
