Ford Focus RS
One thing it’s not is lukewarm. A limited run of Ford’s formidable 5-cylinder hot hatch will land here in the latter part of the year. A significant step up from the highly regarded ST, the pedigreed RS brings a race-bred attitude with clear hints to the company’s rallying success story. The 2,5-litre Duratec 5-cylinder engine, good for 224 kW at 6 000 r/min and 440 N.m from 2 250 to 4 500 r/min, is mated to a 6-speed close ratio manual ’box. Does it go? You bet: from standstill to 100 km/h in under 6 seconds, says Ford.
