Motorcycle enthusiasts will be excited to know that an as-new example of the exceptional and very rare 2016 Honda RC213V-S has broken a new world record, becoming the most expensive Japanese motorcycle ever sold at auction!

It’s powered by a 999cc four-stroke V4, which is driven through a six-speed transmission and produces up to 215hp with the included Race Kit components installed.

This superbike has never been ridden, remains packed in its original flight case, and is in pristine, as-new condition, with absolutely no chips or scratches to the bodywork, frame or other components. The tri-colour red, white and blue finish is also untouched.

“Created with a focus on light weight and agility, RC213V-S is a road-legal MotoGP bike, built around a hand-fabricated aluminium frame with carbon-fibre body panels and titanium fasteners, resulting in a dry weight of just 170kg,” specialist automotive marketplace, Collecting Cars explains.

This baby sold for £182,500 (roughly R3.8m) and this bike is marked as number 029 of what’s reported to be only 125 examples.
